put the nk sprint pipe on my bike 2 days ago. problem is when i scraped my grabrail doing a wheelie it hit the end can which has cracked my pipe slightly (getting professionally welded tomorrow). but does anyone wanna shorten my end can for me ? i kno u drill 3 rivets out, cut it down then drill holes and rivet it back in. but i might mess it up
mmmh the same guy that made your bracket might help??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????did you get the bolt :msn1:
yep i got that bolt thanks for that much appreciated!! . how much u want for shortening it for me mate ? ill send it 2 ya if u can do it.
no problem it willalter performance and be louder though?read capri daves thread all the info is there as to what i will do to it ?how much tenner inc post?
I shortened my end can by 30mm and it had a positive effect on the power curve The original idea as discussed with minor on msn was to not only change the power curve, but to help cut down heat build up in the exhaust and consequently the cylinder!! The higher the tune on a 2 stroke the hotter the engine runs, shortening the can, the xpro has a very long one, means the heat isnt retained in the pipe for as long...helping it dissipate into the atmosphere quicker changing the tuned length will alter the torque curve characteristics, which means there will be an ideal length for top end power and a length for low to mid range (ideal for wheelies) problem is it takes experimentation to find the ideal tuned length
thanks dave i am a bit nk sexed up at the mo but why not try a original nk end can instead of that pm one they look better and i think a bit shorter?you can still buy the end cans off nk exhaust?
for volume, the can needs to be larger in diameter if shorter in length to keep the ringing out your ears. shorter isnt always better tho. depends entirely on the pipe and state of tune of the engine
