Rip off... Unless you want a stamped book (will look good when selling)

So they are gonna charge you £90 to change a spark plug, top up the oil, maybe topup the water, check brake fluids.. Cant think of much more really other than he might check over the bike.

You can service it yourself for £1.50 for a new spark plug.. Im sure you already got 2T oil and coolant to top em up.

No problem mate, infact If I were you just top up the oil and check water level, brake fluid levels.

No need for a new plug because I fitted a brand new NGK spark plug to your bike not so long ago, I think your mileage was at around 1500kms, so the plug should still be good for another 1000-2000 kms.

erm his is a new bike and the warrentee relys on the book being stamped or at least the service being done by someone.

its not just a spark plug though is it. its a new bike so the head races will probably need adjusting and regreasing. stand needs to come off and be regreased. gear oil changed, air filter changed. clutch checked and deglazed, rollers checked, variator checked drive belt checked. these parts do fail sometimes outside of there mileage so any good dealer will go over the bike well.

i agree £90 is a lot of money but whats the point in having a new bike if you dont look after it

Thats right monty, but how many garages are good enough to do ALL that? half the time they do near enough fuck all and just take your money. Hard to find a good garage nowerdays..
most of the mechanics are 16 year old trainees, had my old skipper 125 serviced and I could honistly say they didnt service it properly.. It had fresh oil and a new plug, new belt that wasent needed, and they done my front tyre and didnt do the wheel nut up, it was hand tight and by the time I got home was ALMOST off... Appeared that cbs whitton had employed a 16yr old monkey to service my bike, and all they said was sorry.. Yea, sorry we neally killed you on your way home on a A316 doing 60mph..

There is no need to go to the expense of a garage doing the service

    UNLESS its under warranty

If its not been done, then kiss goodbye to the warranty...simle as :rules:

get it done, you look after her and she looks after you, simple as that.

when you'v got 6k on the clocks and your bike is feeling like a toilet on wheels you are gona wish you had it regularly serviced.

look at the majority of the 2t peds out there, total shitters, and all because the typical 16/17 year old can't be asked to spend 100 quid on a service one a year, would rather spend it on some lexus lighs and a lolipop.

    its a joke

why do you buy a new bike? so if it go's wrong its not your problem?!?!?!?!?!?

service your bike at regular intervals... as the book says, if your bike dies they fix it, simple as...

if you dont wanna pay 100 quid for a service then basicly youd rather leave the warrenty and hope the crank doesent go.. fact is the warrenty is GOOD if you considder the damage a 16 yer old COULD do to his bike...

why buy a new bike in the first place?
