hi I'm wondering if somebody in the know could confirm exactly what needs to be done to fit a new/aftermarket crank to the series one engine from a skipper ? Main bearings have gone so ive decided it's a good time for a aftermarket crank 172 kit ect . Thanks jamie

The very early engines had a smaller flywheeled cranks, you need to strip it down and measure up against a new crank, it is possible to machine the cases out if it is a problem.
