right just got my bloody bike sorted and my bike seized on the bloody A1 what do i do next .get a new engine or replace the crank and bearings and new piston what engine could fit in my aerox 05 plate any help i would be most greatful thanks guys i need my bike to be reilable
would be a good idea to find out why it seized...so that it dont happen again with your next engine!!
right well firstly i dont think i ran it in properly if my kick start wont move does that mean i have snapped my crank or what it just happened yesterday and my bike sits at my mates house what do you mean wobbly trails buy rebuild it i need some thats going to be reilable
you need to whip the tranny case off make sure its not just the kick start mechanism jammed...less than 10min job to check!!
Yeah its no good making sumptions that its seized without looking at the factors of why it may be and marking them off your list. The kickstart is a common prob happened to me before it was just engaging and catching therfore seeming as it was seized. Did you run it in properly with correct jet and decent oil and make sure coolant was filled.
Reply Yeah I had the same problem with my starter on my last scooter. A tooth had somehow snapped off of the kickstart gear and jammed it but the way it had jammed it was halting the variator and so even when I would electric start it just made a "ching" noise. Easy fix if that's your problem but that wouldn't have caused it problems if you were actually running it then it seized or whatever the symptoms were. Jesus just thinking about putting that kickstart spring back in again makes me want to cry
owf fuck i cant believe that has happened with a setup like that - i would end up smashing the bike up and vow never to go back to tuning peds again ..then end up buying another one off ebay :emb: cos the buses are driving your brains crazy lol no serious hope it gets fixed soon mate, hope it was just the barrel thats seized and not the crank - if it is the crank i can probably sort you out with an aerox motor, 2 of my mates have them , the one whos just smashed his up and another mate aaron not sure what the score is with mhr reps, i know you can rehone or rebore a cast iron kit if it gets seize marks - to save a bit of dough
RIGHT i ran it at about 30- 45 mph and occsionally on the straights 70mph and when it there i use to quickly know the throttle off and i reduced my speed down to 40 i was only doing about 55mph down a hill and it just died it just stop accelterating and just came to a rolling stop and it pull it on to the grass quiclky try to electric start it and it just click so i when to kick it over and the kick start would'nt move. can you find out about them aerox engine as i need them asap if my engine is seized cheers mate
all i know is that matthew (the one who wrapped his bike up) has done 9,300 odd now miles and aaron says his enigne has covered 8k, which i could believe tbh it doesnt look that bad compare to others i have seen to be honest it doesnt sound like the crank has seized sounds more like the barrel, a few of my other mates have seized their enignes, wayn seized his when he scummed it flat out for 3 miles fully restricted lol still makes me laugh - and his crank seized he told me his back wheel locked up a couple of times in a few seconds and he near lost control of the bike - aaron (whos selling his old rox engine) has seized his other 55 plate rox recently at 17,400 miles - not bad! but his came to a gradual rolling stop, no locking up or any thing, all that engine needed was a new barrel what happened to you reminds me of the way aarons seized, i think, you'll get away with a new barrel and piston - if i were you go for a less powerful cast iron one - you have to wear them in properly but they last longer you need to take out your engine asap for closer inspection m8
Are you boys turning up your oil pumps or adding extra oil to your petrol after fitting 70 kits!!! Because 70 kits need extra lubrication...my oil pumps turned up full and i ride my Runner hard every day for the last 3 months and it flys without complaint indicated 70mph genuine 60mph every morning on the way to work
i goin to taken my engine out tommorrow when dad come home he pick my van up in his van i will strip it down and have a look hope its just the piston and then i will replace it and polish it up like yours which i must say lookin pretty fly cheers for your help mate and i had two push it half a mile two the nearest lay by and the back wheel didnt lock once
capri dave i put a pre mix in the first time i installed but i used malossi 7.1 and my dealer ran out of it so he gave me motuol i think its called fullly sythentic
was inevitable really tbh ! thats what happens when you start messing when you dont have a clue whats going on ! hope you get it sorted tho mate.
STRIP BIKE DOWN TO DAY AND FOUND MY PISTON HADNT SEIZED BUT ID SNAPPED MY CRANK ROD IN HALF SO I DONT NO WEATHER TO REPLACE THE CRANK OR BY A ENGINE WILL I NITRO 2003 ENGINE FIT IN MY AEROX 05 THE NITRI ENGINE IS WATER COOLED P.S SOZ ABOUT CAPS IT WOULD GET OFF MY COMPUTER
