The main stand bolt on one of my 4 stroke engines is seized it just wont budge, tried heating it up and tapping it out its solid, is drilling the bolt the only way out?
Is the stand down with weight of bike on it when your trying to tap it out? Maybe put bike up a curb or something so you can drop the cente stand and then have a go . Squirt shit loads of wd40 down the side of it every day for a week then smack it out while somone turns the bolt with a socket wrench. Let us know how you get on m8.
tried penetrant oils, heating it up, smashing it out no use. The engine is out the bike on its side so theres no weight on the stand and it swings free. I have ended up trying to drill it but since its not my bike i have decided they will just have to use the side stand when i come to sell it.
