last week I stupidly locked my keys in the seat box whilst at work
I was fortunate enough (so I thought )
To force it up enough to squeeze my hand in to get the keys out
But during this process I must have broke something as the seat now remains firmly locked
I have been driving around all week not really bothered by it however it then became a problem when I needed to refuel as the fuel cap is under the seat !
I have the mot due in a week or two so I don't fancy trying to prise it open and breaking something
    What would you advise ?
I can see the lock turns still but to no avail
(See a small piece of metal turning but that's it )
The lock is firmly in place so even trying to pry it open is hopeless
I don't really want to take it to my local dealers as that usually costs a fortune
What's likely to break first if I keep trying to prise it open
    Please help

Its best to get a long small screwdriver and wiggle it open

sounds like you broke a linkage between the lock and the clasp. you could try making a hook out of something like a metal bicycle spoke and trying to grab the clasp, or if there is any way to reach the 2 bolts holding the seat hinge, looking at diagrams of the seat, the clasp seems to be in the middle just in front of the underseat box part of the plastic moulding.
