Screeching from gearbox

    When i start my nrg i get a loud screetching from around the gearbox do you guys think the belt tensioner is faulty or is it just slipping? any ideas will be usefull :pimp:

    Hi, first things you should do is make shore there is nothink in the fan. make shore your drive belts not worn. I had this problem and what i did is,
    1) get some grease
    2) Remove you engine case
    3) Remove the variator pulley
    4) Remove the variator
    5) Take the oil belt off
    6) Take the sharfts out that the belt goes on and grease them up place all back togeather and should be fine mate.

    does the screech go on forever or is it just for a few seconds...?

    Few seconds untill i get it upto 7-9k rpm

    if he ses its coming from the gearbox why would he want to take he's oil belt off and vrt. makeing more work than anything.

    mate it could be your gearing plate(the seal on that)

    I checked it while i was at work it was just slipping but thanks for the info xD
