Both gearups is over kill. You will be losing a lot of acceleration running gearing that high.

As for the exhaust I would go for the Malossi if you are going for a revvy setup. The scorpion is pretty much just a standard replacement as it doesn't really add any power. The PM59 is over priced and over done.

There is no way the PM59 is the strongest. They are made out of paper. The build quality on a malossi pipe is much much better. I've got both sitting in my basement!

The PM59 gives more low end power and your bike wont really be revving with two gearups and the malossi pipe loves revs so that could be why you would see better results from a PM59.

Scorpions make low power. If anything worse than stock. They weigh lots too.

theres plenty of other pipes out there for a 172 setup , like jolly motos , Tdr exhuast etc

tdr all the fakken way!!! not like i tried em all but its rare to use something and know its a great product and not giving the competition a chance....i guess its because ive read good things about the tdr pipe, expected a lot from it and it surpassed my expectations.....personally i like it because of the look, sound and performance starts off the line to topspeed....
