scorpion exhuast (now cut open)

    hi has anyone cut open a scorpion expansion chamber to remove the baffles 2 stroke one ?

    right from what i can see the main restriction is in the second pic the lengh of pipe that forces the gases back on them selfs also the pipe is lined with baffels im gonna chop the pipe remove the baffle and reweld it up im guessing this is why they struggle under high revs and load or thats what im told

    i might be wrong but i dont believe expansion chambers have baffles. and i might be wrong here again but that "forcing it back on it self" thing is what the chamber does... it pushes the fresh air/fuel back into the cylinder to prevent it from escaping

    yes, done one befor, worked really well... also pull the stinger internal into the centre of the exhaust.

    right so remove all the baffles and cut the stinger off then re weld it centred to the expansion chamber ? wow never would have thought that do the pm 55 and 59 have a stinger in also ?
