i had a search round on the site but i cant find anything about a good setup for a scorp on a 172 runner? lol i bought a scorp for £50 and fitted it, it runs well but my top end has reduced alot arc: my current setup is 172 kit, 180 vari, 3 12g rollers and 3 12.5g rollers, k 'n' n filter and upjetted standard carb im thinking heavier rollers will help cratch: my mate suggested 13.5g? looking to get blue malossi springs fitted, new belt and bigger carb so if anyone has any of these let me know
an now back to the question.... 12.25 is your avarage weight.. way too light for a bolt on setup using a scorp and stock carb... might find the pipes full of shitty old oil, they tend to collect alot from the ammount of shit welded inside them. try heavier rollers and upjet a little. should sort it
sure is.... find a suitable bottle cap to tape on the stub end of the pipe (raid the birds deoderant, there cans are smaller) bung some white spoirit in it, seal the other end wiht a cork. leave it in a few diff positions then shake it a bit, then leave it, then empty out.. strip the end can out (obviously remove befor the first step) and replace the wadding... get it as tight as you can.. literally.. wear gloves. tighter you get it the better it works. enjoy
well i cleaned the exhaust out with white spirit yesterday like minor said then today i fitted some 13.5g rollers now it power wheelies at half throttle :w00t: top speed is still around the same as before
