Alright lads my bike was playing up last night on the way home. It kept cutting out and not idling at the lights. Anyway today I tried to start it today and it wouldn't start. I've took the carb out and cleaned the lot. My jets were a bit blocked but I cleared it all. Done a number of other checks. There is a strong spark. Loads of compression and fuel getting to and through the carb. I also put oil in it last night and over filled it. So I drained the right amount of oil out before but still couldn't get it started. Could anyone please help?? Also it's a chinky 125 gy6 clone. Thanks

Is the plug getting wet when it is cranking? Not unknown for plugs to fail under compression.
Did you use a compression tester to test the compression or just your finger over the hole?

Just me finger mate but there was plenty of it. Just took the plug out and it wasn't really wet but I've just put it over the cooker to dry it out a bit

You cannot check compression with your finger over the hole. 10psi will pop your finger off, you need at least 100psi for it to start. Buy/borrow a compression tester, let us know what the results are please.
You can have all the fuel you like getting to the plug, but without proper compression it wont fire up.

Could it be the starter clutch?

I have checked the valve clearance and the exhaust valve is stuck. Took the head off today and my cousin who's a mechanic is going to look at it

Put a new barrel, piston& rings and also a new head. Put the cam on and made sure the timing was ok. But when I've come to the last job of adjusting my valves the exhaust valve is closed and I can't get a gauge behind it no matter how much I screw it out?! Please help. Is it my rocker arms bent? Replaced everything else apart from them and the camshaft
