My scooter dosnt seem to want to go over 20mph, it will go fine the flat out at 20mph. wont budge over. ive been told so many differnt things of what to check etc etc but dont know what to do first.

    its a baotion 50cc scooter, 12k miles.

Is there a list of possible things i can check starting with the most common ?

    Thank you

maybe try lighter rollers, it may be putting it in too high a gear to early, which it might not have the power to pull

Yeah, pull your trans cover off and check your variator, belt, etc out. Variator could be stuck.

For a start. Did it run fine before you changed the variator.

didn't even think you could get variators lol. Umm What weight does it use standard, cause if you're just using a variator you only really should drop your rollers by like half a gram lol
