My scooter is smoking like mad! It happened suddenly so i pulled over and it just cut out, kicked it and kicked it and kicked it then it started and i had to keep the revs up and ridiculous amounts of smoke came out and i rode it home at about 20mph Any ideas? could it be the piston rings? Thanks for any help
head gasket might be gone and leaking coolant into the cylinder mate. see if anyone else knows what it could be but that sounds possible
okay it started fine this morning but isnt running right so i was still going under 30mph and rode around for about 20 mins then tried to start it a few hours after and i had to kick it quickly about 20 times in a row then it started again, i dont think its anything i can fix so i will put it in the bike shop wednesday. thanks for replys!
has the bike still got coolant in ? because if it was leaking into the cylinder and ran out of coolant it would of overheated and probably damged something sounds like its got low compression. but yeah probz best taking it to a shop if your not up to it lol
okay i took it to a bike shop, they had a look and said the iriduim spark plug i installed i shouldnt of because they are known to blow the heads? and my piston has been hitting the spark plug so they have replaced the piston the head gasket and said they are installing a temperature sensor I also got them to install a gear up kit because my scooter only goes 45 and im pretty sure thats my problem with speed i have a 70 kit, 19mm carb, variator all mallossi but i think my bike is restricted in the gears with low gearing? suzuki katana ay50wry wc
