    Hi Guys,

    Meet bella, My Baotian BT49qt-9 Chinese scoot.

    Looking slightly tired on the photo, needed a wash/polish (and still does lol)

    Been pretty reliable so far and runs nice.

    Eventually I'd like to respray (when I finally pick a colour scheme, suggestions welcome) and customise her a bit, nothing major, just experiment with some rollers and clutch springs and odd bits, maybe some new gauges, and some LEDs front and back anyone have any idea if car gauges would work on a scoot? or anywhere which has some nice looking (and relatively cheap) ones for scoots? Original idea was to remove the original gauge and surround and cobble something together out of something you maybe would put in an old mini (if its possible)

    Had an idea, the model up from this is the retro model. hopefully the speedo and fuel gauges should plug and play. I could modify the surround so it fits snugly round the chrome gauges. then get some chrome brake levers and tart up the paint work

    General concensus i've gathered on this site,ischinese scooters are'nt (how to say this nicely.?)....overly........brilliant!.,
    have you thought that you could possibly get into spending more than just a little money on your 'ped?-
    money which undoubtably be put to really good use further down the road,maybe.,
    I'd be thankful mine was running o.k. an happy to have transport,with much better things in the pipe further on.;) .

    true.. I am over the moon Im on the road and not the bus lol.

    Most of the stuff I want to do is cosmetic just to tart things up and make it my bike, and not just a chinky scoot. Mainly just a respray at the minute. Thinking about white w/ orange detail, white w/ green detail or black w/ green detail, just cant make my mind up, so far white and greens winning but no doubt tomorrow I'll have other ideas.

    I could keep it stock and put the money I would spend on it towards something no chinese.. quite fancy the look of the typhoons at the minute, or something retro, and old lambretta or vespa.. hmmmm

    Typhoon's = yummm. :) .,
    Lambretta's/Vespa would think though nice = upkeep,£'$,an insurance.,
    Paint ..... colour's mostly down to personal preference/course,but how's about a scheme that holds up well (scratches..easily touched up, fading,grunge,etc.).
