Yeah id buy one depending on the price.
Easily fill up a double page spread with like guides to jettings, rollers etc. :)

You could do like PDF versions of it for starters. and im sure we could all chip in :punk:

im thinkin basicly get it on the shelf for as cheap as possible but im seriously gonna look into this if im not lookin in the tens of thousands then i think its worth doing coz as ya say they literally are shit .advertising would hopefully pay for a lot after the mag got popular .has any one got experiance in this sort of thing eg done it as a job .im sure terro would easily be able to do a magazine its only a simple layout aint it .but as i say gonna do a lot more brainstorming and research .

Yeah you gota promote it alot first nibbles ? may have to do a few copies for free

If you do it do a pdf file for a few idditions maybe when you get enough hits on the website or downloads then you could push it out in the shops

You need like good enough pictures of scooters aswell not 2.0 megapixel cameras lol

when are you going to release a new eddition of the magazine?

    monthly?

    2 months?

you'll need to figure out where you want to spend your money. Are you paying yourself or your staff a salary? Are there server costs? Are you setting aside an advertising budget? How much will you pay your creative people? At Strange Horizons, our priorities are:

paying our server costs, because otherwise there is no magazine,
    paying our creative people decently,
spending some on advertising, so that we'll be read,
maybe someday paying our staff. That last one's a nice dream, anyway.

So if terro does it for free, i will huck you up with the domain and website for free ;) but you may need more space so then you would have to pay for 1. but yh ... go for it

front cover needs to look sick to adtract people, Aswell as a realistic price like £3, but youd have to print a fucking lorry load to get the costs down to realistic before bartering with the printers, ive done the getting sponsors etc for various projects

Realisticly 2.5k would just about cover editing costs to get you 1 magazine, as 1 man couldnt do a full magazines worth of photoshopping, editing & then talk to suppliers etc within a month, youd have to be working 6-8hours a day onit, printing costs to fill shelfs far and wide would run into 10's of thousands.

also 99% of magazines are edited and readied for publishing 2/3months in advance, its only the actual "breaking" news thats edited just before its ready for publication

Then places like morrisons etc would barter you down and would be skeptical to try them out

Reason why alot of magazines are £6 as there 10man armys and end up going theu publicizing agencys to get them pulished and avaliable on the shelfs everywere as the agencys have contracts with tesco's. sainsburys, petrol stations etc

P.s. if you need any help i wouldnt mind helping out tbh

Hence why even the biggest mags have adverts. That's without postage and build costs as well.

anyone wanting to know anything about a ped should just be directed here, and spend a couple of hours reading, or for ease of use, put a few more guides into the guides section, condensed down a little bit sorta thing...

miles cheaper than making a magazine lol ;) but still, the website idea with PDF's is good, a hell of alot cheaper to do and design too... hah, probably alot quicker too... as alot of writing can soon be made interesting with the occasional picture / right colour schemes, compared to making a magazine you'd need something that would keep people interested, yatta yatta yattaa.. list goes on i guess
