    Hi guys n gals

Anybody actually done this mod on a cdi?
    And does it work?

    • An electrical restriction in the CDI unit. Make a 3mm deep cut with a hacksaw in the position shown. You are cutting through a wire which you will be able to see in the slot. Make sure you have gone deep enough to completely cut through it. Then fill the slot with silicon. If you have a Kokusan CDI then you make the cut about 42 mm from the end.[IMG]

Interesting...............reason i ask is I have this Katana AY50 wrw lc and the bloody thing only does 23mph!
Going to upgrade the carb to 19mm, just ordered the new manifold conversion.
Tell you what, I'll start a new thread if I can find the right place, because I have completely rebuilt this thing.
