Okay So my scooter is a Yamaha Neos 50cc ( Mina Horizontal) it just stopped starting the spark plug was black after kicking it randomly did this one day then it decided to start again But It Bogs when load is applied Like It Revs to max with the Back brake on but when i ride it down the road it boggs like a bitch never done it before

    New Spark Plug
    new Ht lead
Cleaned Carb , Blown out jets etc
    Checked Reeds there fine
    Checked Rollers there fine
Inlet manifold Has no Air Leaks
    Head Gasket is new
    Bikes frame is earthing fine
    Fuel Is fresh
Fuel Tap is working Fuel is reaching the engine Hence why it Idles Fine and revs fine on the spot

Im Doing my Level 1 mechanics And Sadly This is the first engine ive took apart

Ive Took the Engine out the bike and got it on my bench Took off the Cylinder
    Some things ive noticed

Some Heat Marks on the Piston
    No Scoring on the Barrel
The Piston rings Move Side to side? Is this normal there VERY loose
The Gasket Between the Cylinder Is Goosed not the Head Gasket the Cylinder Gasket? Dont know if its called that But yeah i guess it's losing Compression through there

Is it worth Getting a New Barrel and Piston With Gaskets?

    Cheers

the gasket you are refering to is called the base gasket and yes, if this is leaking it will cause problems. a full top end gasket set shouldnt cost much so start by replacing the gaskets and see what it runs like then :good:
