    Hi all,

I have a Peugeot speedfight 2 100cc and I need to recharge the battery every fortnight, my question is, isnt the bike supposed to be able to recharge the battery? Its a new battery and I haven't looked into the electrical side of the bike yet.

I don't mind recharging the bat, just interested to know if this is just part of owning a scooter or if there's something wrong that i should be looking at.

    cheers. :)

if its a new battery then you shouldnt need to recharge it at all but it depends on where its stored mine has spent a lot of time under a cover the last 2 months as no space in the work shop itts had a new battery on about 4 months and its been recharged about 5 times its just the cold weather that kills the power in them but even if yours is in the cold and its flat in the morning it should recharge while riding after you start it with the kick start if its not getting any power back in it then you have a fault somewhere

    I have no kick start.

And I have a fault somewhere in that case.

If its a wet lead acid battery check the electrolyte level and adjust accordingly.
