Rusty ? rear shock.

    Rear shock does'nt look too bad,but concerned that the paint has worn away alittle an it's slightly rusty.but as far as i can see NOT corroded and on a ride awhile ago/shock was working fine/would that concern an MOT tester.?.

    Nope, as long as it damps properly and it is not leaking oil.

    A lot of bike shockers are powder coated and eventually it cracks and starts to peel off. I used to peel the lot off, prime it and coat it with plastic car bumper paint, as it's flexible and won't readily lift off.

    Kinda noticed it up close when i was cutting the cable tie fastened to the top& bottom of it/holding the airbox on.!,
    It's been fairly well cleaned up now,was basically surface,not like my Leads.which is part corroded
    Thought i'd throw the ? out as pulled up a few articles on structural integrity during research.Mk.
