right running in was fine after that was fine carbon reeds broke now got problems ped woud cut out while going along but then start straight up again then started cutting out and not starting back up too off bore etc piston is scored to fuck and now moped will only just start and then cut straight out is this defo gunna be because of the scored piston.
look mate just face it, your shit at building peds give up or save up and take it to a TUNER not a garage but a tuning shop these threads are just becoming a joke now, besides what is it your actually asking?? erm yes your peds fucked, piston is mangled by the sounds of it but from the amount of threads youve had to make i'd say evry lil bit youve touched could be the reason for its damage
Is anyone going to help this guy or just nag him to flog his bike? Hes in the learning process of working on scoots just like me and I know how it feels to get incorrect help or very sarcastic replys. Im sure your first tuned engine didnt run magically and probably came across a few problems. (unless you had it built for you) Now, to my knowlage of 2 strokes a scored up piston is 99% of the time caused by the engine running too lean (not enough oil). But it also could have been forign objects in your cylinder (dust, dirt, gritty bits), but this is unlikley. For a start you said your carbon reeds have snapped? Then in that case you shouldnt have used the ped at all untill repaired. parts of the broken reed could have found its way into ur cylinder then kabbbooom. But its more than likely due to poor jetting, poor carb setup, oil pump packed up or needs adjusting (if you have adjustable pump). Not enough oil getting into the engine so increased friction and over time scoring your engine up. And if it kept stalling/not running smoothly then that was your warning. Way to fix it would be to re-build your engine & start again. This time pay attention to the carb settings and dont ride it untill its running perfect or it will break again. Search on this website for jetting guides and tips on setting up a scoot engine. hope this helps a little & good luck
what exactly are you asking, youve kinda answered your own questions... But just to show im helpfull.. 1..yes it is reasonable to say your engine would run crap (if at all) with snapped reeds... 2..yes a badly scored piston isnt good... 3..i would suggest if you dont know what your doing, stop messing around with your scooter: you are doing more harm than good
right as soon as the reeds broke they were replaced the piston is scored very badly but the barrel itself isnt. would a heavly scored piston cause my bike not to run ? or is it just something totally different.
scored piston = shit piston rings too. and shit compression replace the piston and rings and do a compression test
thats the thing i dont seem to have lost any compression the bike just dont run it wi alomost start like tick over and few time then die and i have cheacked everything and it all seems fine and trust me i would have taken it to a tuning shop if there was one round here in my area but there isnt.
take sparky out and cover hole with finger, then get another person to turn the engine over. not 100% accurate though, i did a test on a jogr a while back and it told me it had good compression, i even managed to ride it round the block a few times, got back stripped it and the piston was cracked in half. still started though.
your a fucking idiot.. your PISTON IS FUCKED... you need to LEARN TO SET THINGS UP BEFOR THROWING PARTS AT THEM and BASICLY you shouldent touch your bike any more.. see your old 50 kit? ye put that back on, old pipe? put that back on... the rest of the poorly fited shit, take it all off an start again.. NOW put one thing on at a time, fucking read about it and listen oh btw your piston is fucked, it means the bike wont run, wich is a sighn of poor compression, from your fucked piston, from you not seting your bike up, so ye your poston is just pritymuch a big pile of fucked metal and yourt still reading this why?
