hi people, need some advice please. (well help really) running a 172, standard pipe and carb. there is a 90 jet in the carb with an open filter. it was running fine yesterday but late last night on the way home every time i had to stop for lights or junctions it would not idle, just kept conking out. and anything under 30mph its coughs and splutters like a bitch but over 30 its fine. ive got a horrible feeling. Any help would be much appreciated guys Cheers Liam
alright mate, probs the air filter or carb, if its rained recently or frost then theres probly water in the carb, take the filter off and clean the carb and filter then try it again, u might wanna take the jet out aswell and clean that!
yeh check for shit in the carb. also might have just started running lean as it got late. as it gets colder the air gets more dense and and is better but will run leaner so try upjetting a tad.
