running issue / soo close :D >>

    rite. continuing from the other week.. when i had the pullling away problems

    i have cut a fresh end on the ht lead.

    i have adjusted the mixture screw quarter a turn at a time.. in and out.. (now back where tweak put it :p).

    i have moved the needle down 1 clip.

    plug checked it a million times.. and they are all showing a nice light brown (the reason i said black and wet before was because i plug checked it after it had been sat all night and not after i rode it for 10 mins).

    also it WILL NOT start in the morning unless i use cold start spray?

    when pulling away even quarter throttle it just bogs down.. above 30 mph its usually ok :wtf: .. like earlier i was going up my road.. roughly 300 yards and it wud bog untill i went past 30.. then i turn around and come back and it wud bog all the way back.. even past like 30+mph..

    but.. if u pull of on quarter throttle and it bogs.. whilst its bogging if u full throttle it.. it overruns the bogging and just goes:confused::confused:

    clutch springs are too soft.. need to ajust this then report back. bogging can mean anythign so is it revving but quietly and not moving or just plain bubbleing and dying with iratic revs?

    probably needs the needle dropped right down and slightly lighter rollers.. whats it do from full throttle off the line? explain like this
    full throttle=
    start = bog
    10mph = low revs and wants to die
    20= revs starting to rise
    30 = revs picking up now
    40 = half way up the revs
    top speed = full revs

    this would be soft springs and heavy rollers..

    the revs would catch die catch then die then catch then die and so so till atleast 20-25mph :wtf:

    needle was on second clip down.. now on the first.. its as far as it go down lol

    the revs when u pull away just go quiet..

    start = bog
    10mph = low revs and wants to die
    20= revs starting to rise
    30 = revs picking up now
    40 = half way up the revs
    top speed = full revs

    and that sums it up.. just as u put it :)

    but after 30mph+ its fine untill you slow down a bit.. then it bogs again..

    so say i was doing 40 coming up to a corner.. i braked and went round it at say 25.. open the throttle again and it bogs for ages sumtimes even to 40mph

    full throttle start just picks up to 5 mph then bogs the same as pulling away with 1/4 or even 1/2 throttle :wtf:

    also to add.. its worse when its warm

    so ye, clutch springs are too soft, rollers are too heavy and your mix is probably out.. bring the needle back up to the middle an the idle mix around 3 turns out and sort the rolers befor you touch the carb. sounds more tranny related than carb altho people often get them confused

    ok well i got 4.3 g rollers in there.. ill order some 3.5? or 3.8?

    and some clutch springs.. also some jets

    ive just ordered some of them springs mate.

    ive been suffering the same kind of problem as you. i changed to 3.5 gram rollers and it got better. so im going to get stiffer clutch springs in, then see what its like. one minute mine is ok the next its shit, really confusing me lol

    too heavy rollers though your running i reckon.

    set the carb rich and sort the tranny.. then reset the carb as you wont be able to get an accurate idea of whats wrong till you can ride the thing.

    cold start spray is ether choke/idle mix.. reeds or oil seals/rings

    its a brand new top end.. and brand new carbon reads that are completely flush on the reed block..

    maybe im just giving up starting it too quick :p

    anyways.. i got some 3.4 or 3.5 g rollers sumwhere.. ill dig em out.. give them a shot and tell u where i get :)

    brand new top end, dont no if this has been mentioned but might be worth checking gaskets are sitting correctly and head os torque down properly and not warped or leaking.

    That would cause bad starting ect

    thats all fine m8..

    update.. i changed from 4.2 g to 3.5 g rollers.. was better when it was cold.. but as soon as it got warmer and warmer.. it got worse and worse

    also full throttle from standstill is just completely bogging when warm..

    stiffer springs it is then ..

    i orderd the doppler ones.. u get hard.. very hard.. and super hard

    wot shall i put in there ?

    baring in mind i got like +70% in there as it is

    rite.. got clutch springs .. jets and a new battery..

    will try the clutch springs maybe tomoz

    i got hard.. very hard a super hard

    baring in mind i already got polini yellows in there.. gotta be pus 70-60% as they are heardest once in the box

    btw its a brand new standard clutch

    wot would u guys recomend on fitting ?

    got the clutch springs in.. in the pack i got hard.. very hard.. and super hard..

    the very hard ones are in.. but its the same

    BUT.. i have found that it does NOT die out when riding down the road holding down the choke at all from start to finish... but splutters till higher revs??

    its still got the 75 jet in it

    need help asap as i got a chance to work on it tonight
