I fitted the Malossi sport 70s to my Aerox about a week ago. It was running really well until yesterday. I rode it with my mates for about 7~8 miles pretty much flat out - even though I maybe should be running it in? And on the way back I was full throttle going up a massive hill and all of a sudden it started losing power on WOT so I let off then reapplied full throttle and it just bogged down - no noise from the engine just a deep buuuuuuuurrrrrrrr as the carb opened. I had to push it home! Put a new sparkplug in it and it idled for maybe 6~7 seconds then died as I blipped the throttle. It turns over okay but it ain't running! Any ideas? Thanks, Joe. :msn1:
i dont think its siezed because it idles and kicks over - but as soon as i give it beans it dies instantly. ive just taken it to bits again and there dont seem to be any noticable scratches in the cylinder. The piston is black on top and the crank looks fine. What should i look for? thanks, joe.
/\/\/\/\/\/\    sounds like its an airleak from the sound your describing , check for rips in the manifold or loose airbox stuff like that
check your reeds when 1 of mine snapped it would idle but as soon as u tried to rev it it would cut out
LMFAO AEROX OWNER!!!! HAHA your bikes FUCKED mate! :w00t: buy a new kit matey, and run it in loool 'i rode full throttle for 7-8 miles' hahaha going in my sig!!! PMSL :bird:
said it yourself.. you fitted the kit and the kit alone, then ragged it for miles at a time. i dont care how strong/relaible ann engine is i wouldent DARE full throttle for 7 miles straight. especially with a bike that wasent set up. sounds to me like the rings have just taken a kicking and compressions down, do a compression test to see if its this, if it is you can try a new set of rings.
Do the rings look ok? IF its getting hot there might be an air leak... Now even if you do fix this problem there could be many more problems around the conner ;\
