I've got loads of spares left over from my Jordan project, and I've been bored as hell recently so I decided to undertake a little project.

I've basically got more than a whole bikes worth of spares so I built myself another one. It's just a scrapper, but i want something to mess about on.

Anyway, because the bike is basically just a frame I've not used the loom. How can I get the engine going without it attached? Because the auto choke is constantly off and I don't have a manual one and I'm pretty sure the ignition wires need to be fiddled with.

    Cheers

There should be some wires on your engine that plug in the CDI plug them into and as for choke not too sure id just get a manual :)

Sorry, I couldn't understand that first bit.

I have a Haynes manual, but I can't imagine it will be of any use?

I have the choke wires, the ignition wires and another one which I'm not sure about. How can I bypass plugging these into the loom? I've checked for a spark, and there is one (because it gave me a shock)

    Someone help me out? :)

you need to plug the wires from stator to cdi/coil and have a earth itll work.

And as for the choke you would have to look at nrg mc3 wiring diagram and see how its wired up but if i was you id use manual:)

got the engine started, and after got electroctued by ripping the spark plug out with my hand..

it revs really high when you start it, the clamp i put on the brake fell off and it nearly him my brother in the face o_O

i've fiddled about with the idle and mixture screws but nothnig really helps.. i'm also running it premix, on fully synthetic - so no seperate oil tank. It just revs really high, enough pull itself away easily. it's all standard, apart from the leovince tt with the huge hole in it.. i know that's not the issue, i'm putting down to the carb..
