runner water probs(have electric pump on it)

hi. i have water pressure build up and then water coming out of expansion bottle lid even tho its done up tight. i have electric water pump fitted. bikes fairly tuned so worried to use it. have had all pipes off,rad off etc and no blockages?? water seems only just to be pumping round tthe circuit which is why i have checked for bockages. usually leky pump pushes it round but now nly a trickle. also looks like sometimes when you kick it over with lid off expansion bottle it looks like pressure from barrel coming via the water system. any ideas

 

Have you fitted the pump with the flow the right way? From rad throught pump to bottom hose, thermostat fualty and closed?

BEEN ON ONE OF HER MAJESTYS HOLIDAYS IM AFRAID.PUMP BEEN ON AGES AND WAS A1 BUT JUST HAD HEAD OFF AND O RING GONE SO REPLACED BUT STILL NOT 100% SO GONNA RIP BARREL OFF AN CHECK BASE GASKIT.PUMP DINT SEEM TO BE PUMPING AS MUCH WATER ROUND AND NOW ITS BETTER BUT NOT HOW IT WAS.BIT WORRIED USING IT AS HAVE A PM KIT THAT SHINY DONE WITH CRANK ETC ETC SO FEW QUIDS WPRTH THAT I DONT WANNA KILL !!WEIRD THO AS AIR ONLY GETTING INTO WATER BUT WATER NOT GETTING INTO BARREL THANKFULLY. WILL SEE IF ANYONE ELSE HAS HAD SAME PROB,DID A SEARCH AN SEE RIDEORCOLLIDE HAD SIMILAR BUT NO RESULT ADDED WHICH I WILL DO FOR ANYONES FUTURE REFERENCE. ANYWAY BUD HAPPY NEW YEAR AN IF YOU WANT THESE BITS TX ME YEA. yes mate. switch direct to battery. had pump on a yr nearly and all was good. had head off yes'day and o ring had gone so replaced(no water in barrel etc) and hoped it was fixed but still not right so gonna rip barrel off and check base gasket. will hopefully be the problem but will update post later.

 

all fixed. changed head o ring,dint work/fix problem, fitted new base gasket and another new o ring, still not fixed. had water pump off to check it and that was perfect,shot water foot in the air , checked every entrance to the rad to see if blocked,all ok? thought maybe a pipe blocked so started from reservoir bottle all the way round and checked both ends, each time turning water pump on and off to see if pressure etc and got to last jubilee clip thats where hose retuns to water reservoir bottle and a bit of silicone about 3/4 centimeter long and 3mm thick was stuck on the 90 degree bend of the pipe where it goes into the reservoir bottle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! had to be the last thing lol. but now my water pumps squirting water instead of it only just drbbling back in to the bottle. so all good. thought i would post the end result and problem to show that it can just be something silly wrong and it will be the last thing you try. maybe one day someone may have the same problem,i wish them well
