Runner vxr 200 (2003) crankshaft Problem!

    Hello i own Gilera runner vxr 200 (2003)
    I bought bike 2 weeks ago...Today i wanted to change rollers and i noticed that variator was spining freely on crankshaft i know that this isnt good so i need some advices on what to do should i change whole crankshaft or is there a way to fix those threads on crankshaft?

    Inspect splines on crank and variator, replace whats worn out. A replacement crank will be expensive !

    A wrongly torqued variator nut allows it to work loose on the crank splines, then it tends to strip out the middle of the fixed plate, I'm betting that you have no ribs in the front half of the variator.
    If it's happened too many times it will have damaged the crank splines.
