Hi, I've got a runner sp 125 in my nrg, all working fine until a couple of days ago and my brakes started to rattle, I've got a feeling it might be the pads as when I pull on the lever it stops. Thing is, it's a standard caliper, brand new SFA260 pads and the caliper is working fine itself. Other than this rattle. Has anyone else ever had issues like this? Any suggestions?
its possible that the hole in the new pads isnt a tight fit on the retaining pin. When the piston "backs off" after the lever is released it allows the pad a bit of slack...either its the pads that are loose rattling with vibration from either the bike or the road or its the disc thats slightly warped rattling against them. If its the disc, you'll feel a pulsing when you apply gentle pressure on the lever
No noticeable pulsing and can't feel/ see any movement in the pads. The pin that holds the pads in is a very snug fit, so it's not that. It's confusing. I'll try and get a video of it, if possible...
