I dont understand, my runner is bogging at full throttle and speeds up if i ease off the throttle like minor says in the guide. However ive had checked the plug so many times in many differnt ways and it is always chocolate brown. HELP!
That might be because your pilot jet and needle are correct, what you mainly ride around on especially when running in!! But your main is too rich, which your only going onto for a few seconds at a time...(doesnt get enough chance to colour the plug Try down jetting your main a little at a time and see what happens!! if that doesnt work try upjetting gradually
well. sounds rgh to me but chocolate brown can be misleading as idle and mid throttle might be fine with an overly rich carb setup an heavy rollers... best bet is set the rollers to optimim then downjet one at a time till it is fastest at full throttle. as for general setup, you wanna be looking for any rev drop after say 20-30mph, if so itsw deffo rollers.. if they make no change downjet slightly ( a 106 jet is no way to comp[ensate for wrong roller weights)
Right ok this is all getting fuking confusing so here we go. Fuck the standard carb and manifold i no longer have them on the bike. This is for the 21mill and 125 manifold Basically i got the mainjet right, and its 76 like minor said and its running nice. Ive got the idle right and its ticking over. So minor your saying the circlip should be on the highest point on the needle possible so the needle is dropped more. I am totattly confused, i did the air/fuel mix screw 2 and half turns out. But whenver im riding then throttle off it sounds like it wants to cut out, you know when your riding along then turn the ignition off and the bike makes that noise sounds just like that, it does this untill it starts idling. No sounds come from the exhaust during this time, sounds weird and i dont like it. What 1 of the things do you think it is, mainjet, needlem air/fuel adjustinment, piliot jet????? Help!!!!
drop the needle and then wind the idle mix out half a turn at a time. go over the guide again and again. your basicly working out every combination of needle position and idle mix. but i know the needle will be on top notch for sure.
REMEMBER, as you change the needle posuition lower, the main jet can become a little leaner too so put a slightly bigger jet in while testing for mid/no throttle mixture then recheck main jet. chances are it will change. also rolrers will throw these settings out so make sure there spot on once you got jetting to where you are now.
well i havent tried the needle on top notch but i heard thats only for fine tuning but i suppose the needle couldnt be causing the problem, but as the needle is wrong i cant get the idle/air fuel mix right so technically the needle is causing the problem Its only 1 away from top notch though
