I brought a runner a few months ago. A few weeks later I realised the R/H panels had been changed, as the paint was a slightly different colour and the decals were different. I thought nothing of it, as I've had no problems with the bike at all. Just recently, I had a go on a few other scooters and it made me realise just how bad my steering is. I really have to slow down for corners and even then its hard to turn.

Any ideas what this could be, or having the same problems?

    Thanks.

    steering bearings maye be gone.

    forks may be bent.

my steering bearings have gone and my steering is stiff :(

sounds like the bike may have had a front end collision in the past

how old is the runner...is it a pre 2006 type...

the engine cradle mounts wear out and can effect steering and cornering stability!!!

Also check for front forks sticking...can effect 1 or both forks!!!

The only other thing i can think of is check the frame is straight...if in doubt about this area have a competant mechanic inspect it for you :D

    check your tyre pressures.

if your tyre pressures are too low it will also affect your steering

    Thanks.

I did check tyre pressure originally, and it was fine. So im certain its not that.

ok, well it's looking like a fork problem or rear engine mounts (quite often a problem with the rear end feels like the front) unless your headstock bearings are knackered (which has already been said).
