bought a set of malossi gears like new already pressed onto the shafts. i didnt know how they went so i copied my standard gearbox used the right shims in the right places but when i turn the imput shaft it sounds a bit rough. could it be because theres no oil on them at all as i cleaned the gears and there dry (no oil) .
the streight cut gears are usually a bit loader than the stock ones and the lack of oil will give a kind of grinding noise, get some oil in and see what it's like
