Well tonight I swapped my Runner for another Runner but the kid has put a 125 Typh lump in it and it has 125 bars. The forks are in good nick and work fine, Also the rear shock looks basically new. The kid said that it just stopped running. It was dark by the time we had done the deal. There is good compression on it so it least the bore is okay. He said that he recons its something to do with the carb :msn1: :msn1: just my luck lol. So I'm gonna strip the carb and see whats going on in there. Gonna change the plugs and put some fresh petrol and oil in and go from there. The panels aren't in that good condition, actually there fucked but i'm not really too fussed. You would of probably seen it on Gumtree as that is how I come across it. Haven't got any pictures tonight. Will get some tomorrow.

Edit: Have some pictures that the kid sent me.

Well as soon as its running I'm going to get a new crank, mains and bore for it. And I'm gonna start on sorting the panels at the weekend most probably. Haven't got a clue what color I'm gonna go for yet. Had it like an hour and already started pricing things up haha.

lol i was gonna swap my bike for that a few weeks ago but it just cut out and wouldnt start back up and sparks were coming from the exhaust :confused:arc:
by the way its got some kind of stick throttle where if you full throttle the slide gets stuck open. i would watch out coz that bike is faaast and if ut gets stuck you would be pissed

Personally mate, dont invest in building up that engine.

    Is it even legal?

Best bet is to get rid of it and get yourself an LC runner engine, if you can ofcourse! I wouldnt pour money into a typh engine thats going to sit in my runner? Atleast youve got a matched wheel size however.

Yeah its reg as a 50. Can't see it passing an M.O.T lol.
Whats wrong with a Typh engine in a Runnner?

I thought it might of been to keep water out or some thing :emb:

because its there to direct air straight from the fan to the head to keep it call hents it being called air cooled. with out it it wont be getting as muchair as it needs?

holds air around the cylinder and directs it around the exhaust.

Well as the kid said it didn't run and it was something to do with the carb, I went out this morning and changed the plugs over. It has a BR9ES and I put in a BR8EIX (Iridium) and it started first time... Also It is fucking quick... And I am also thinking that it has got a 172 kit as it doesn't pick up as quick off the line comapred to my bro's SR125 but it defiantly is alot faster... Will get some videos later on as well.

    erm...... no.

its a fan assisted air cooled engine. think about the fan, it circulates air around that cover to keep it sufficiently cooled. If you dont have the cover it will sieze, people ASSUME that it would be better to take the cover off as it will get more air well no, hows the barrel gona get air to cool it if its within the panels of the bike?????

get one and for all those who have taken the cover off, put it back on!!! it WILL sieze your bike otherwise
