runner 172 spring set up

    ok so when my belt snapped im willing to order a new clutch springs and new contra spring ,
    im also ordering new malossi belt ,
    im running :
    malossi 172 bore
    malossi reeds
    malossi intake
    25 carb
    open airfilter
    and pm 59
    any one know what set of springs i should go for? for good acceleration and not bad top speed??

    i think the piaggio standard belt is the best... ;)

    Since when do springs have anything to do with top speed or acceleration? This should really be in newbie tuning.

    Clutch springs set at what rpm the clutch bites. It should be set when the bike makes power. On a highly tuned 70 it has to be spot on or it doesn't perform at all on a 172 they are less picky. You bike will be fine with one up from standard.
