im having problems with my bike, when i pull away from lights it kinda judders and splutters for a few seconds before it gets moving, and recently its gone like ive put heavier rollers in but i havent cratch: cratch: like 1 day it was running nicely and now its spluttering and i have to hold it on full throttle for it to pick up speed..and it doesnt want to wheelie from aboout 20 and then it gets power again at like 50 and you can lift it again.. the setup is 172 gold billet n skull cap 25mm carb with 100 jet, needle on the second notch from bottom stage6 filter polini reedblock polini manifold malossi variator with 3 12.5 malossi rollers and 3 12.2 polini ones (green 1s) malossi clutch malossi belt malossi cdi lightened flywheel pm tuning gear up malossi pipe ill be haps if someone can help me coz ive tried changine jets and playing with the carb but it just keeps spluttering, although it only does it once it gets warm like after 10 minutes or so.. o yeah and today it was going alright up to 50 then the revs would die down a bit then pick up and then die again :eh: :eh: riideorcollide
try a diff belt... sounds more like an air leek or bad reeds.. could well be the kit's giving up finally
hmm well.. my belt is a bit darmaged theres a tiny chunk out of it on one side. but i didnt think that would make any difference. i was thinking kit yesterday will try a belt n see how it goes
surely any running problem is treated with a new plug first off every time (this is what i assume hence i rarely advise "checking the plug/cap"
i change my plug like every two days lol, every time i take it out it looks black and oily even though ive downjetted it, its only gone liek this since i fiited the malossi pipe. when i had my standard it ran fine, and was a niice choco brown colour, i put in a 104 when i fitted the malossi, but it was way to rich s0 i went back to the 100 and dropped the needle clip by 1.
depends entirely on what pilot jet is in there... just set it with the method described in the guide.. should be able to get it close.. also check the choke slide (the lil one under the choke) and make sure theres a spring in there.
i been turning it half turns left every few hours today n seems to be getting better.. it only does it when its warm though man its weird, i think it might actually just be my belt yeh bradley ill come down soon, not tommorow i got college..but soon well go 4 a cruise n ill show you what a hard bike is
ye, set the mix when its hot and it does the silly thing it does.. idle mix is set to normal running temprature, the choke ajusts the cold mix hence you have one
lol yh itll have to be late afternoon or eveing times tho coz i go work but yh just ring me when ur guna come down and u can bring me my flywheel too
yh i need to try get my bike motd tho dont realy wanna ride it coz i havent got nuffin lol if anyfin can just go in my car?
yeah still.. anyone know which way makes the idle mix richer n leaner.. been playin with it more today and it seems to be best all the way to the right then half a turn left
other way round.... if the screw is PAST the slide (further forward than the slide) then out is richer.. if the screw is BEFOR the slide out is leaner 25mm's are always richer outwards leaner inwards.
