Hi, I had bought a runner 180 and made this setup : Malossi 172 , with selfmade piston (a copy of original , but has only 1 piston ring(on dyno +1hp)) mazuchelli (smth like that) 54mm crank, malossi vario 13.5g rollers polini maxispeed cluch Technigas rs180 pipe, stock 20.5mm carb. so i can't reach more than 84mile/h and can't make a power wheelie. I would like to reach 100mile/h and make a power wheelie , what should I do ? any help?
I forgot to tell other problem, with stock filter runner goes nicely , with free inlet one it goes crazy on powerwheelie , but on 20m/h it loses all the power , and I cant pull ther throttle , if i do - it dies.
lool was that aimed at me lee? whats it jetted to and did you change the jet when you put as filter on it ?
I had changed jet to 98 , it runned cool ,but it woun't start up after night... so I chaged it back., today I had reached 100mile/h. i had put a 36mm carb from my friends olr aprilia rs., I checked a speed with my r1 , and friends gsxr , the speed were 100m/h. , Icant do powerwheelie , but I can reach the high speed. what should I do?
i dunno then? them rollers seem light to me i dunno why it dont wheely what springs yyou have and how long the rollers been in there?
this has got to be a wind up....... you have the ability to "make" a piston yet ask questions about carb setup in such a clueless manner... what is the piston from originally? im sure you dont have a forge in your garden....
I have original malossi piston, but that where I made myself, I used a nother piston 66mm diameter. I made a form simmilar to a original one , actually it looks same as original, only with one ring
so 66mm diameter, wich is off a crosser more than likely.. so who rebored the cylinder for this bigger piston? thing i dont get is, you claim to have the mechanical/engineering ability to size/bore a cylinder yet cant tune a carb? me thinks this thread is some distant fantisy
me thinks its just a waste off time to read this post ,without pics off piston ,1 bhp on dyno y didnt you set you carb up when you had it on the dyno
