I have a Yamaha Neos 50 and I have just installed a brand new clutch as well as a brand new piston and cylinder.

is it required to run this in by staying below a certain speed for a specific number of miles or can I just ride as normal straight away?

If run in is required what sort of run in do I have to do?

As the standard cylinder is iron you need to run it in properly. This is a case of doing a few hundred miles at varied rpm and remembering it warm it up properly before starting out.

Basically the speed isn't as important as running at a high rpm for a long amount of time. It's fine to have to rev it for a few seconds here and there and actually helps.

well since my wife mainly uses it to go to work around the area it gets mostly city driving anyway. Occasionally she might have to do a straight run of a couple of KM so if I am understanding right in general she can just ride as normal since that is varying RPM and if she gets to a long straight she is not to wind it full open but just take it easy

Pretty much yeah. Like I said the warming it up properly before you set off is important too!
