Isn't an RS50 a scooter? This is for big-boy-bikes, such as 600cc's etc.
You need to post in the 50-70-80cc section.

And, yes, you probably will need an upjet, 10-15% I think.

No its not a scooter, yes you'll need to upjet, but why are you using an open filter anyway

No its not, maybe out of the crate in resticted form, but his isnt. Mopeds have to do less than 31mph, as soon as it does more its no longer a moped it becomes either a scooter or a motorbike, in this case a motorbike.....And what do you mean a scooter is a 125cc?? a scooter can be any cc....... :confused:cratch:

back ontopic, 10-12% upjet should be alright although i wouldnt advise an open filter on a stocker as it will drag crap through and actually reduce the performance of the bike. however on a tuned bike the airbox can become restrictive so best to go for an open filter if modding the box is too much hassle.

once a 50cc scooter goes over 30mph then it classed as a 125cc

lool its nto classed as a 125
moped = restriced to 31mph or less and less than 51cc
derestricted they call it a motorcycle and as such needs different things (check the differences between a 50cc and 125cc runner)

but if your 16 and your 50cc goes over 30mph then legally you would have to be 17 to ride it because it would be a 50cc scooter not a moped and on a provisional licence at 16 your only aloud to go 30mph.

    oh mygod

an rs50 is a moped.. as soon as it does over 31mh its an illegal moped. read your v5.. if it exceeds 30mph you HAVE to re register it as a motorcycle (needs an mot atleast) and THEN its a 50 motorcycle... its still a bike not a scooter so its in the right place.

    50 restricted = moped..
50 derestricted = illegal with no insurance
derestricted re registerd and inspected (mot) its a motorcycle and you canrt ride it at 16.

its a peice of shit anyway.. dont know why your bothering putting a filter on it.. will only be even slower at part throttle

as for the people slagging the rs50 off ive had 80+mph out of mine and im pretty sure its the best thing you can legally ride at the age of 16 on the road and who gives a fuck about the law saying if does over 31mph blah blah blah bollocks to it im sure you dont stick to the speed limits everywere you go and 31mph ona a or b road dont you think that is dangerous ? cars over taking you etc
