right ive now got a nrg 70 its got a new 70 kit and giannelle pipe and it woudnt move went to change rollers and i found a brand new polini normal variator not the 1 with small rollers and it revs up to 6000 rpm and flys off someone said i need to get 5.5 rollers is this true the standerd 1 is in the engine atm but i want to use the polini 1 so wat weight do i need for the polini 1 thanks i was going to go to 2 wheels ahead but they would just mug me off
The correct rollers to use are the ones that make your scooter go the fastest!! you should know all this Do you think i just bought 1 set of rollers, whacked them in and that was that :nerd: no i read dozens of posts, spoke to people in the know to get a base line figure, then on that info started testing different combinations of rollers untill i found a good compromise, Because tuning is a compromise Heres my little tuning goodies box, rollers, jets and springs...anyone whos serious about tuning should have one :nerd:
i no but wat im asking is do i need heavier rollers if it just revs and dont move as i dont want to waste money if it not nescissery
Have a look in my box again, how many of those rollers, jets springs do you think i will never use.... All those things in my box were paid for with my hard earned wedge, if you cant afford to tune, find a cheaper hobby :rtfm:
how many times mate?? READ! it says you have to try combinations to get it going right, you know it ent right with heavy ass rollers, so wot you think youve gotta do?? the rollers that run ok now shouldnt be too far off on the polini, if it revs and dont move then youv'e done something wrong..... not thought bout the clutch either?? SIZE is 19.5x15, and ino what weight you need.. but why should ANYone help you, your fucking lazy!
right sorry everyone ive got off my ass and done some work lol i had a thought the variator im using wen it just revs come off my ice engine and that variator worked fine with the ice clutch so ive too off the clutch from the nrg witch had yellow springs and put the ice clutch on the nrg engine witch has orange springs so once ive put it all back together il update and thanks for the help dave
ive changed the clutch and still no diffrence im just gonna go buy some 6.5s and go from there as long as there heavy enough to make it move lol and the other thing is if i rev it to high it goes pop then a loud whistling noise anyone no wat the whistleling noise is i dont think its the bore cause it starts perfect
6.5's may not even run wiht a leo.. start around 5.5 for a leo then account for going up or down a bit so order 5's and 6's so you can try 3 and 3 to amke 5.5 and try ether way... read the roler guide on the main page and it should give you an idea whats going on with your transmission as you need to learn YOUR bike not what "should" work... mine is running way off what id expect and i usually guess right with most peoples setup
well pissed thanks for your help everyone ive been chattin to username dos on msn and i was like it aint movin and i said to him it was making a loud whistle noise he was like put a thicker base gasket on so i done it he says it was leaking air so it wouldnt move so im just bolting pip and all that shit back on and il try it and update thanks big thanks to DOS ASWELL
still hasnt fixed it im just gonna sell the shitty 70s engine and get a 125 for it FUK 50S :rtfm: 70S
right im happy now it was the inlet it had a massive crack in it so wen u reved it up the pressure was leakeing and making the whistle noise its all sorted now thanks to DOS
