Hi ive just fitted my stage6 pro replica exhaust ive been told to get some better rollers as my ped will only get its speed after 9-10k revs could anyone help me choose the right weight i was thinking around 5.5g imp: my ped is a NRG power air cooled (the ped is 100% standard exept for the exhaust and is still restricted!)
buy yourself 4 sets, go 4.5 5 5.5 and 6 get as close as you can then mix for optimum. say you end up using 3 5s and 3 5.5s then you know you need 5.25s
De restrict the ped first ffs. I've got a bike running the same engine spec in the garage with a sport rep, you will need to put harder clutch springs in, im running 4.7 gram rollers and it still feels sluggish not a good exhaust at all.
Sticking a pipe on a restricted bike is daft as pal, you'll get no difference in speed or anything, just take the variator washer out while your in there.
HOW THE FUCK DID YOU MANAGE TO BOOK TICKETS FOR PARIS FOR VALENTINES DAY WHEN YOU DONT KNOW HOW TO WORK A KEYBOARD
Changing the exhaust is altering what RPM the bike makes its most power Therefore you need to change your rollers. I use 5.5gram with the giannelli reverse, but not every pipe is the same. Like you and others say though, 5-6 gram are around the area you need to aim for. Thing is not many people can tell you how the stage 6 pipe works on our peds. They could be easy to set up with rollers, could be difficult. You need to use some lighter rollers and tell us how they work out. I'd try 5.5gram Standard clutch springs suprisingly dont suffer with just a sports exhaust on the NRG powers .. u can use tighter ones so it engages at a higher rpm will help obviously Rollers and jetting are the two things you definately need to do with a new exhaust
