Was looking at the roller guide for this answer but it dosnt say basically im just wondering, say you have 15 x 12 rollers at 5.0g and you put say polini variator in with 16 x 13 rollers, would you have to lighten or make the rollers the heavier because of the width or is it just a case of straight swap 15 x 12 vario 5.0g to 16 x 13 vario with 5.0g. Just asking because im curious about it, thought about it earlier.
    Thanks
    Ross

It's really quite simple, it is done on weight.

E.g. You could have a ton of feathers and a ton of lead, it doesn't mean you add more feathers because they're lighter.

It's a straight swap to answer your question ;)

3.6g an 4.9g actually lol. but yeah ive noticed the characteristics of the speedcontrol to be a lot diff. because ive run 5g rollers on my standard variator and its been fine. but i used the polini speedcontrol with 4.9g rollers on the same setup and it revved way too much. so just beware you may have to make your rollers heavier/lighter

I Never really thought of it affecting it until today when messing with my tranny and my old vario, id say either way you would need to adjust rollers.
