Just seen this post mate otherwise I would of helped ya. I could of told you they were 20x17 because I had to change the rollers on mine toooooo many times. Found the 180 variator to be better though. I bet you feel alllllllllllll alone, no replies Least you got it sorted now though
can use ether.. just move the washer from the back to the front of the variator for bigger rollers (so theres 2 washers behind the front pulley)
i see i think my multivar had 20x17 in but with washers as normal. but i nw have 19x17 with washer in mormal place. but whats best for multivar 19x17 or 20x17 ?? :emb:
19 i belive... cant honestly remember/care as with the washer in it makes no diff other than contact area being SLIGHTLY more (and i do mean micron's)
ok cheers. yeah the washers are really thin anyways. but with both behind front pully i would have thought in theory should give better bottom end. but like you say they are fucking thin
nah, wrong place and the rollers ether dont get to the bottom or dont get to the top of the ramp. waste of power so deffo put the washers in the right place and buy some vernier calipers so you know what size rollers are (had the worong ones in box's befor)
ok, there will be 4 thin washers in total.. the smallest DIAMETER and largest DIAMETER will go ether side of the starter dog OUTSIDE the pulley befor the nut obv so forget those for now. there will be 2 the same diameter but one thicker than the other left (if not find some) the thicker goes behind the pulley infront of the variator shaft and the thinner one goes behind the variator shaft infront of the oil gear for smaller rollers, the spacer is moved to the front with the thicker one for larger rollers hopefully your all wondering about shaving the variator shaft off and playing with a few correct sized washers to change the range/rate the ramps work 100 .1 gaines in bhp is 10bhp... so find 100 tiny impovments to make to your bike when rebilding and it will be more powerfull than an engine of the identical spec. setup is key
