For yet another mate. (Having to sort them all out lately ). Heres the lowdown,2003 Mbk Nitro with Leo vince tt + rollers & springs that came with the pipe. Problem recently was that pul off was TERRIBLE and it wasnt making it up hills past 20mph usually a lot less. So i had a look today and the rollers had pretty severe flat spots (only been fitted for 3months max) so i cleaned out the variator abit and changed the rollers about and he told me it felt much more powerful than he was used to and made it slightly better uphill, but i THINK they still arent right. Puloff takes a few seconds to kick in,and uphill it still isnt on par with me,but downhill it fucking flies (does me sometimes). So what range of roller weight am i looking at,anyone know for sure as i dont think he really wants to be chopping and changing different sets of rollers, and hes on about buying a new set of springs, would he benefit? Think thats it,if you have read this far then thanks and i hope someone can help.
probably needs stiffer springs to sort initial pull off out... but try tweaking the idle mixture 1st as that can affect pull off too, and its free imp: and yes it does sound like his rollers are a little too heavy still...
So any pretty standard aeror/nitro owners with a tt fitted have any advice for me regarding roller weight and springs?
yer on piggy engines he knows his shit, minarelli's are alot different roller wise. try sumin around the 4g mark as the tt is a revvy pipe and maybe sum even slightly stiffer springs
Thanks mate, pretty much what i needed. Easier when you get straight to the point rather than niggling, saves time & space doesnt it alex.
