I was meant to be getting a 70 kit first but as luck would have it my scoot is due its m.o.t in 3 weeks so I have to buy a new exhaust as the old one is fucked and is patched up more than the elbows on my grandads jacket.

Thus far I have whittled it down to these -

One thing I cant figure out is the difference between the stage 6 exhausts?

I understand I need to change the rollers too but I have no idea what rollers are in my bke at the minute, as far as I can tell the entire engine is just set up as standard. If I order a Polini speed kit will the rollers included in that do the job?

    Cheers.

sw1ft has written an exhaust and cylinder matching guide in the tuning section ;)

EDIT : these are the ones sw1ft reckons are good for the polini sport

    Leo Vince ZX
    Leo Vince TT
    Gianelli Reverse
    Laser X Pro
    Doppler s3r
    Hebo Performer
    Yasuni Z

personally id go for the reverse because it looks the best lol

right The Laser looks to be out of stock, so if you buying from S.A that kinda rules that out :D

The pro replica is the street legal e-marked and chromed version of the stage6-pro...

and both pipes are made by Athena and rebadged as stage6, Athena are a good make
they are quite popular in europe as are stage6...

it all depends on what kit you are going with, but i would try a pro replica...ive seen Dyno curves and it looks a revvy high power pipe about 0.5p.s more than the x-pro ;)

Right You are, I'll go for the stage 6 then I think. That one will look better on my scoot too

What do you reckon to the poini speed kit? Will the rollers that it comes with suit my needs? Do I need to upjet for an exhaust? I cant remember :emb:

you got a link for the polini speed kit...

and yes as a rule of thumb about 5% bigger main jet for a pipe ;)

cant really help you on the long/short cases issue on minarellis...

theres others on here that are experianced with minarellis, like wobbly for instance...

the only difference will be the belt length i would of thought :D

you thought right, 99% sure the only difference is the belt length, may be a different gearbox too? also not too sure about shock placement on the short one, tuning parts wise, everything fits.

yeah the shock placement is different. It bolts onto the rear of the housing rather than on the top like the jog-r.

Its good to know that tuning wise everything will fit as I am going to be buying a jog-r engine so I can get a larger wheel on the rear.

Dont suppose you would know what weight rollers I should go for to suit my new pipe? It just has standard ones in at the moment, although I do not know what weight that is as I have not had chance to whip the variator off yet.

Also what would happen to my engine/performance if I install the new pipe without upjetting or changing the rollers?

    Cheers!

That pipe you ordered is quite a revvy one, so i would of thought at least half a gram lighter maybe more.....dont forget clutch springs too ;)

clutch springs too eh? Right i'll order those today.

So what happens to my engine if i just bolt the pipe right on without making any other upgrades?

    probs run abit lean.

will run abit rough wiith rollers being abit heavy

and wont pull off as good without clutch springs

ah ok, ta for the help.

My pipe just arrived but I couldnt take it as its payment on delivery and they wont take my debit card.....bastards! Now I have to wait for them to bring it back another day and I have to have the cash ready. :wallbash:#

    *edit*

Someone really does not want me to have this exhaust. I got the carb in pieces and removed the old main jet (it was size 70). I then moved onto the engine case and all was going well, although I had to be very careful as I dont think the case has been removed since 1991, so the screws were putting up quite a fight....anyway as I got to the last two screws the head snapped off one of them and the other stripped so badly I just cant get the bastard out.

Now I cant get at the variator to figure out what weight rollers I was going to order and I am going to have to wait 2 days for my dad to get home so he can drill them out as I have never done that before.

    STRESS!! :wallbash:
