Was a crazy day, up just before 6am to meet gaz and ant, then basically spent the rest of the day getting lost, and asking someone for directions every 10 minutes We easily covered a few hundred miles but the weather was perfect, and no one broke down :msn1: On the way back we decided just to go back on the motorway, which wasn't easy either, first we went in the wrong direction for about 15 minutes, then got lost some more, ant split up from us when he legged it down a different motorway so me and gaz were on our own for 10-15 minutes untill we thought sod it and went the same way as ant and saw him again at one of the services. all in all a good day, when we got there buxyboi was there waiting for us to go for a ride after. i have video's of gaz and ants bike on the dyno so i'll wack them on w hen i can be arsed or they can do it because they also recorded one of the runs. anyway here's some pics i took ( not very many ) Early morning ish, probably taken when we were lost because of shite RAC route planner directions imp: When we arrived, an hour or something late? i can't remember, blah. One of there barrels they were selling for 1k apparently? standard barrel is on the left the way home
kool lil mish lol is it me or does the top barrel on the left have malossi stamped on it? :w00t: imp:
there both malossi barrels.. the one on the left is stock and the one with the chubbie sides welded on is a saxelberry special. good work on it but the case will also need alot of welding to use that.
:w00t: you forgot to say.... ant went down the right motorway..... m1 south... ben and gaz was stupid enough not to follow :bird: u cant turn around on a motorway can u imp: but yeh was a gd day and my bike speedo says i covered over 370 miles :msn1: and took us 4 hours to get there :msn1:
lmao me and ben was just makein sure we was going the right way..all in all a very good day we had a great laugh..ants bike is fuckin rippin now lol good to meet buxyboy tooo.. as for the ported barrel that baby is going to achieve 38hp in his dragster/runner/honda bike lmao..
tell you now, thats not the limit. that barrels real nice but can go even sicker with a diff piston (single ring) giving more space for the primary transfer ports.. also we have yet to see any kind of powervalve conversions to scooters altho i know the euros have started playing about with nsr/aprilia big bore kits on scoots...
i was thinkin about that a few weeks back, what would happen if you put a rotax 122 top end on a piaggio bottom end with the inlet port blocked off??!! wiring for the pv would be interesting
already figured the wiring bruv.... easiest option is an nsr barrel tho.. simply make up an adaptor plate (luckily the barrel needs spacing 8mm anyway) the inlet is through the crankcase so no mods there, case mouth needs opening slightly and the transfer feeds obviously modded but its all verry doable. i really wanna build a 191 powervalve but its alot of money to throw into an experiment. worked for richard branson tho ay
**off topic** minor how the fuck do u know so much lmao** **back on topic** am i correct in sayin that know one has managed to get a scooter engine to 40hp
soz for off the topic, but the convo was movin nice.. might even make another post out of the tuning talk on here. 43bhp nrg in the vids section m8
ye it is supposedly.... but as they got all cocky and arogant an got kicked out of x race theres no real proof other than what they say.. who's actually checking there timing slips afterall.. no doubt the bike is close to that tho.
Couple more pics, and a vid of ants bike on the dyno. Ant ruining the picture imp: not looking to bad after a few 100 miles Ants bike on the dyno ( not processed through youtube when posted ) http://youtube.com/watch?v=wOOww1oDqlo
lmao..the weather was great that day too thank god..ive got a few pics..i need to find my lead for my phone
what does the dyno tell you. And how does it help to improve the bike. i.e if you dyno test your bike, and then change a jet, and try a few, other, maybe adjust rollers ect Will it show by revs or something which works the best for your setup?
revs vs speed vs max power... a nice flat curve is what you want on the graph and obviously the correct air to fuel ratio throughout (tested by ear/co2 meter)
