Restrictions

I have a suzuki kata liquid cooled with a doppler s3r exhaust and a polin variator kit and it only does 45 and vibrates alot at top end. i was wondering what restriction it may have on it not sure if eveything has been done, but know the variator has

 

Take the exhaust off.

On S3R's, theres a restrictor near the manifold and in the silencer, take these out if they haven't already.

 

yeh i have done that, do you rekon the cdi is restricted and is there any restrictions in the engine

 

My knowledge doesn't go very far so I'm not sure what the vibrations are but 45mph means it's going about the right speed.

But if it read 45moph on the clocks, clocks usually read 5mph too high (bit optimistic)

So if it read 45 on the clocks then the chances are your doing about 40 which means somethings not right.

 

vibration could mean Rollers flatted and excessively worn...which would also effect your performance!!!

or engine main bearings worn...which is pretty major!!

 

yeah i had a katana wiv a polini 70 kit a malossi multivar variator and a zx exhaust and i suffered from low gearing done the splines on the crank after 36 miles of running the 70cc kit in but it power wheelied like a bitch once repaired and run in lol
