Restriction Query?

I have a Sym Jet 50 2002.

Just put on a Technigas Next R Exhaust.

Still goes as standard 35mph?

Only difference is it gets the a hell of alot faster, but then it seems to not be able to push over 35....

Is there a restrictor washer i need to take out, or CDI????

What do i need to do to get it going 45-50 without buying a 70kit?

 

Did you derestrict the exhaust?
Have you checked for a restrictor washer in the variator?

 

I checked, and the exhaust prior to fitting was de-restricted.
And i havent checked that, as as told it may be in the clutch so didnt want to take it to bits untill i knew...

you should be going about 50 in no time

Hmm, i un bolted 9 screws that hold on the cover, went to slide it off, and nothing....

It is on there rock solid, theres like a rubber lip where it should pop out, but nothing?

 

Anyone with a similar bike or a sym model give me advice on how to get it off?
