Hi, I have a Piaggio NRG mc3 unrestricted with giannelli reverse and electronic limiter with remote. So when I limit the engine it gets to around 6-7k rpm which is fine for speed around 50km/h. But the sound which the engine make is afoul. It coughs, and you can immediately hear that the limiter is in .... The cops are not stupid. With original exhaust you can not hear these misfire but with sport exhaust you can. Are there any other ways how to eliminate coughs when engine is restricted. Is there any other way to temporary restrict an engine, programmable cdi (timing delay), motor valve in exhaust, motor valve in the intake, motor valve in airbox? Br
If your Country of origin require speed/power limits then I' d put it back to std, or buy a faster bike/scooter. Best to be safe and within the law!
some countrys the cops have portable dyno's . all scooters are not to be derestricted or above the 49cc capacity if they are the bikes are confiscated , motorbikes on other hand can be full power and not even go on the dyno. hence these restriction mods to cut in when the old boys in blue show up. i thought some compays like tenigas and likes did quiet exhausts ( look like stock pipe but were tuned up and quieter than sport/race pipes) tecnigas silent pro came to mind a stock looking can but with that kick a sports pipe gives
