Replacment piston & bore from scooter-attack

    Hey,

    I wonder if you could help us out

    I ordered a replacment piston and bore for my gilera dna and have started to fit it after i got the bore on and piston in i went to fit my orginal head to the new bore.

    But there was a problem the bore scooter-attack have sent me is for a square type head and the head which i have is not square more like a house like shape if you get my giff?

    So i would just like to know what i can do about this? order a new square type head? but does this mean i need to order a new thermostat? as my thermostat is inside the head before hand.

    Must say quiet :rtfm: about the whole situation!

    gotya.. what you need is a donor head from somone, forget buying one.

    sombody on here must have one... (i might do somwhere) dont buy one tho as somone will have one for ya m8.. if not ill track one down

    OK that sounds like good news will my thermostat fit someones donor head?

    thermo should fit ok... but i stress should as there might be a difference in year, never worked on oval barrrels really. they go in the bin usually :D

    Sorry little confused on your reply, are you saying i can do away with the thermo? I really need this dna up and running by the weekend i don't mind paying for parts just needs to be done really.

    Can you suggest where i can get the cylinder head/ thermo from? Uk preferably.

    I am quiet pissed of with the whole situation i new i should have gone for the stage 6 one piston ring setup lol

    sorry fella, aint been on the past couple days. havent got a head at home but im askin about, anyone who does needs to speak up :D

    can do away with the thermo and wiat longer for it to heat up in the mornings but im pritty sure it fits anyway.
