no doubt this has been posted before. But how do i get the clutch off my aerox because i am getting a zx and new clutch springs and rollers hopefully in a couple of weeks. I know you can use an air gun but i dont have one. And apparently clutch locking tools are useless or too small. Does anyone have any tips to get the clutch off safely? cheers
peice of wood between your wheel spokes and wedging against the transmission casing then a long bar and a socket should crack the nut
u know the hole at the bottom of the tranny case, that the black tube from the gearbox runs to? what i did was stuck a big allen key into that hole through a 13mm spanner ring end, the other end i hooked into one of the holes on the clutch then got a socket on the clutch nut, was off easy as pie i also have a bodge method of flywheel removal if ya need help with that :wtf: although this method works fine for me it is putting strain on the engine casings so id be careful if i were you
hold the back brake and get someone to wrap a leather belt around the clutch bell pulling it tight as you can with your foot on it, then just undo it.
Even if you get the first nut off, main nut to clutch assembly holding clutch to rear pulley with contra spring in middle, is a fucker without a vice and a big pair of stilsons... so if you got a vice and sum stilsons go for it if not, u will get stuck on the main nut after getting first one off Hope this helps Aaron :welcome:
look, buy an impact wrench or clutch tool.. dead gearbox means dead engine, and the fact you "heard" clutch tools were useless speaks volumes about who you been talkin too.. wedging with wood and the like is ok in an emergency, but to set out to do a job without the right tools is just silly
how about "they" didnt sell him an aerox one an he just asked for the bigest one they sold.. they are made for specific bikes so must work. any ive bought do
well the shop were. buy an aerox clutch tool and it fits an um.... aerox why else would they make em? to annoy young people?
