hii all... are all reeds the same size ?? im only asking cause i dont want to waste my money and they not fit lol..... another thing my mate has done is use 4 reeds, like 2 on each :/ can that work ??
depends on your engine, a dt250 has different reeds to say a vespa. but a jog and aerox have the same. most bikes have 4 reeds i think (except my stupid daelim that has 3). you can use differnt thickness reeds but they must match, ei, they should all be 3mm for example. carbon reeds are lighter than glass fiber reeds, but more expensive, and i think they are also slightly more tougher.
be wary of carbon or fibregalss reeds as they sometimes splinter at the tips causing them not to seal and the bike runs like shit or not at all. If the glass ones are warped, you can soak them in boiling water and then very gently bend them back to shape so its just the tips making contact
