Hello there Is it worth the money to buy a malossi reed valve if I have the original carb with 172cc?
most of the aftermarket/performance reed blocks are based on the std reed cage size.... so basically speaking, you can modify your std reed block to flow as much air as an Aftermarket reed block....all you need to buy is a set of mono petal carbon fibre reeds
should have got a set with the 172.. twins actually work beter as the large singles need a thinner sheet as the tention is wrong not having the slit.. this promotes reed flutter so a stock block without the backcage and 0.4mm twin leafs is a much better desighn
Yes I have forgot the set i got with the 172, how thick is them? Can I use them or most I bought new ones. Dosent thicker ones have better top speed And thinner have good acceraltion.
i think thinner ones will give better throttle reponse. but thiner ones could flutter if too thin i think, minor will probs confirm
thicker give better responce and higher rpm opperation.. fuck all to do with speed. too thick kills performance, too thin kills revs
ones wiht the 172 are ok for now, slightly thicker would be better in twin window form.. can cut holes in the back then samwedge the newly cut down thin ones in and essentially make a 2 stage 8 window reedblock..
